“Let not the hatred of people swerve you away from justice. Be just, for this is closest to righteousness.”(Quran 5:8)

Some people are familiar with the word “Salaf” and it might not be a new entity for all of them. It is new for those people who do not have any sort of familiarity, as a result there is a small portion of usage of term in Book, sunnah and in various sources of deen. It is mentioned about the word Salaf in the religion Islam.

“So we made them a “Salaf (precedent) and as example to later generations.”(Suratuz Zukhruf Vs 56).

From the clearest of all the text of Sunnah that is mentioned in the term salaf is a type of hadeeth in the prophet and it has referred to himself as blessed salaf for all of his daughter, as it follows the rest of Ummah. Fatima His daughter came to his bedside and the messenger of Almighty Allah whispered in her ears twice. Later on the messenger said: “Indeed JIbreel used to listen to my recitation of the Quran once a year, and he has now done so twice, and I do not see except that my appointed time is so close, so fear Allah and be patient for indeed I am blessed ‘salaf’ for you.”

In another place speaking about heavens and earth, it is said:
“Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?  (Quran, 21:30)
Explaining about the clouds and rain, it is said:
“Or (the unbelievers’ state) is like the darkness in a deep sea.  It is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds.  Darknesses, one above another.  If a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it.”  (Quran, 24:40)
